Be A Yes

Hi,

I’m sitting in the airport, heading back to Florida from Mexico for a few weeks before Paris.

And what keeps coming up for me is this—

being a yes.

Because San Miguel…

if we’re being honest…

It didn’t make sense.

If I was looking for signs,

every sign said no.

The border closed.

My dad got sick.

I got hit with pneumovirus.

There were more reasons not to go than to go.

And still—

I knew.

Not in a calm, peaceful, everything-is-aligned kind of way.

That’s what people think intuition is.

It’s not always that.

Sometimes it’s just this quiet, grounded knowing—

this is where I’m supposed to be.

Even when it makes zero sense.

Even when everything around you is telling you otherwise.

That’s what this was for me.

And I remember being on a walk—frustrated, questioning everything—

thinking… I just sold half my life, I’m ready to go, and now THIS?

And I heard it so clearly—

“Do you really think your plan is better than mine?”

And I had to laugh.

Because in that moment, I realized—

I don’t need to understand it.

I just need to trust it.

And here’s what I’ll tell you—

sometimes when you’re being a yes,

it looks like everything is falling apart.

But on the other side?

There are gifts you didn’t even know you needed.

Not just for you—

for the people you love,

for your life,

for what’s coming next.

San Miguel gave me exactly what I needed.

A full nervous system reset.

Recalibration.

Expansion.

I felt alive again.

Inspired again.

Connected again.

I had so much fun.

And yes—there was contrast too.

That’s part of it.

Because we didn’t come here to stay the same.

We didn’t come here for Groundhog Day.

We came here to see what we’re made of.

We came here to see how good life can actually get.

And that requires something from you.

Faith when you don’t have proof.

Surrender when you want control.

Action when you don’t have the full picture.

It requires you to be a yes.

And let’s be honest—

If you’re a controller, a perfectionist, type A—

this is where it stretches you.

This is where you let go of the wheel and say—

I believe there’s something here for me.

Better than what I could plan.

Bigger than what I could see.

So lately, my prayer has been simple—

Show me how good it gets to be.

Show me the love.

Show me the wealth.

Show me the fun.

Blow my mind.

And I’m telling you—

life meets you there.

So if something in you is stirring right now…

If there’s a nudge you’ve been ignoring…

Be a yes.

You don’t need the whole plan.

You just need to trust yourself enough to take the next step.

And I want to hear from you—

What spoke to you?

And what are you being called to say yes to right now?

Reply and tell me.

Rewrite the Rules,

Melissa Kathryn
