Hi,
I’m writing to you from my hotel room on the Left Bank in Paris.
And I did something I’ve always wanted to do.
But before I tell you about that, I need to tell you how I got here.
I came to Paris not as a plan, but because I was led.
When I let go of my home, I made a decision that changed everything. I turned my life over to my Higher Self.
I said:
“I have driven long enough.
I’ve been the one making all the decisions, and I am now ready to be led consistently and only by you.
I will take one step at a time.
One day at a time.
I surrender certainty.
I surrender needing the full vision.
And I trust where you are leading me.”
That one declaration forever changed my life.
It led me to Paris.
It led me to speaking at an international women’s event in France.
It led me through the French countryside and into Spain.
It led me to San Miguel.
And it has led me to virtually every extraordinary experience that has unfolded over the last year.
The more I say yes to myself, “life just gets better and better”.
The more I ask,
“How good can it get?”
The more life seems to answer.
And I am still asking.
I’m ready for it to get even better.
I’m ready for more.
One thing I’ve noticed is that when you stop waiting, when you stop asking for permission, and when you stop convincing yourself that you should be grateful for what you already have instead of wanting more…
you actually get what you want.
I believe God, Divine Intelligence, the Universe—whatever name feels right to you—is waiting for you to declare:
“I am ready for it all.”
That’s what I’m choosing.
And I have a feeling that’s why you’re here too.
Whenever I travel, I don’t just book a trip.
I curate an experience.
Before I arrived in Paris, I asked myself:
What do I want to experience here?
Not what am I supposed to do.
Not what everyone else says I should do.
What do I want?
And then I decided I would let each day unfold.
I would wake up, listen, and follow the nudges.
One of those nudges led me to create my own signature fragrance.
I visited one of the most iconic perfume houses in Paris, a centuries-old institution, and created a scent that is entirely my own.
(Photos below.)
And I could write an entire letter on this alone.
Because scent is incredibly powerful.
Just like food can instantly bring back a memory, scent can do the same thing.
Neurologically, it creates familiarity.
It creates emotional associations.
It creates anchors.
Which is why I believe creating a next-level identity isn’t just about mindset.
It’s being her, living as her NOW, not later.
I’d love to invite you to pick…
A lipstick.
A piece of jewelry.
A handbag.
A fragrance.
An outfit.
Something that helps your nervous system become familiar with the woman you’re becoming.
You don’t need to come to Paris to do this.
Although if Paris is calling you, I highly recommend it;)
That same day, I woke up with a completely different plan.
I was going to visit the Arc de Triomphe.
I was going to Notre-Dame.
I had my itinerary.
And then I heard:
“Go to Sacré-Cœur.”
The last time I had been there was twenty years ago with my mom.
So I listened.
And I walked.
For nearly two hours.
Across Paris.
As I walked, I kept asking myself:
“Is this really what I’m supposed to be doing?”
And the answer was yes.
Even now, I still question the nudges sometimes.
I still wonder.
I still ask.
But I follow them.
And when I finally reached the top of those steps, something happened.
I felt my mom.
I don’t know how else to explain it.
Tears streamed down my face.
It felt as though time disappeared.
As though I had stepped back in time and she was by my side, overlooking Paris with me.
As though she wrapped her arms around me one more time.
It was one of the most meaningful moments of my trip.
And here’s what I realized.
The gift wasn’t just getting to Sacré-Cœur.
The gift was the walk.
The gift was everything I saw along the way.
The streets.
The cafés.
The people.
The unexpected moments.
The version of Paris I never would have experienced had I followed the tourist checklist.
And isn’t that how life works?
The nudges rarely take us down the path we would have chosen.
They lead us somewhere better.
They take us down streets we might question.
Toward experiences we couldn’t have planned.
Toward gifts we couldn’t have orchestrated if we tried.
So if there is one thing I want to leave you with this week, it’s this:
Let life lead a little more.
Be a yes to the nudges.
Trust what keeps calling you.
And choose one thing that anchors you into your next-level identity.
Maybe it’s a pair of heels.
A handbag.
A piece of jewelry.
A fragrance.
A daily ritual.
Whatever it is, choose it intentionally.
Let it remind you of who you’re becoming.
Let it activate something powerful within you.
Take a photo and share it below or on socials with me.
I’d love to see it.
Use #TheBoldLife so we can inspire one another and rise higher together.
I’ll see you next week for another private letter.
I have something special planned for you.
Rewrite the Rules,
Melissa Kathryn
P.S. Sometimes the biggest transformation doesn’t happen at the destination.
It happens because you were willing to follow the nudge.
