The Miracle
Hi,
Ciao Bella
What if you’re already living your miracle?
What if the life you’re living right now is a life you once dreamed of, wished for, or prayed would someday be yours?
And what if, somewhere along the way, that dream came true, but you were so busy living it, looking for what’s next, or wondering what was missing, that you forgot to stop and recognize it?
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.
This week, I found myself having one pinch-me moment after another here in Florence, Italy.
And it wasn’t just because of the beauty of this city, although I still find myself walking these streets in complete awe of the art, the architecture, the history, and the charm that seems to be waiting around every corner.
It was something much more personal.
I realized that I am living a life I once only dared to dream of.
Here I am, at 48 years old, living in Italy, working on a dream project, running a business I love, and having the freedom to create a life that feels entirely my own.
And there have been moments this week when I’ve literally stopped and thought, Is this really my life?
I’d finish a call with one of my clients or leave one of our group sessions and find myself sitting there in awe of the women in this community.
Women who are showing up for themselves, going after their dreams, rewriting the rules, and choosing to live life on their terms.
Women like you, who continue to inspire me with your courage, your honesty, and your willingness to create a life that feels true to who you are.
And then I’d close my computer, step outside into Florence, and find myself walking through this beautiful city, realizing that I get to do work I love, with women I adore, while creating a project I’ve dreamed about for years.
And I couldn’t help but think about all the times I had wished for a life filled with this kind of freedom, expression, love, and possibility.
So much of what I’m experiencing today was once something I only hoped would happen.
And isn’t it interesting how quickly the extraordinary can become ordinary once it becomes our everyday life?
We dream of something, work toward it, hope for it, and imagine how wonderful it will feel when it finally arrives.
And then it does.
But life keeps moving, and before we know it, we’re already thinking about what’s next.
The next dream. The next goal. The next thing we believe needs to happen before we can finally feel like we’ve arrived.
And somewhere along the way, we forget to notice that some of the very things we once wanted so badly have quietly become our everyday lives.
We’re living inside an answered prayer while still asking when our dream life is going to begin.
I know I’ve done this.
I’ve spent so much of my life dreaming, creating, growing, and asking what’s next that sometimes I’ve forgotten to stop long enough to appreciate everything that’s already here.
And please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not suggesting we stop dreaming or wanting more.
You know me. I have no intention of stopping any of that!
But what I’m realizing more than ever is that we can be wildly in love with the life we’re living while still being excited about the life we’re creating.
One doesn’t have to come at the expense of the other.
And maybe that’s what made this week in Florence feel so beautiful.
I wasn’t thinking about what needed to happen next or what else I wanted to accomplish.
I was simply walking through the city, taking in the beauty around me, and feeling this overwhelming appreciation for the life that was unfolding.
And I found myself smiling.
Because I remembered the woman who once dreamed of a life like this.
The woman who wondered if it would ever happen, who kept believing, and who couldn’t have imagined all the beautiful ways her life would unfold.
And I wished, just for a moment, that she could see me now.
Because I think she’d be so incredibly happy.
And maybe that’s what I want to leave you with this Sunday, bella.
What if the life you’re living today is a life a younger version of you once dreamed of?
What if some of the things you barely notice anymore are the very things you once wished would happen?
Maybe there are miracles all around you that have simply become so familiar you’ve forgotten how extraordinary they are.
And maybe today is a beautiful day to remember.
I’d love to hear from you.
What’s something in your life today that you once dreamed of having, experiencing, or becoming?
Hit reply and tell me. I have a feeling there are so many beautiful stories waiting to be celebrated.
And remember, bella, keep dreaming, keep creating, and keep rewriting the rules.
But don’t forget to fall in love with the life you’re living along the way.
Rewrite the Rules XX
All my love,
Melissa Kathryn
