Resistance is a good thing.

It shows you the exact right next step to take.  We like what we know.  As humans, we like our comfort zone, the familiar, but doing the same thing over and over is not going to get you the change you want to see or experience. As a mentor of mine used to say “No Change. No Change.”

So I welcome resistance, because it’s my inner being saying “hey, this is different, this is not what we’ve done, and it scares me – I don’t know the outcome if we choose that path.”

BUT – this is the exact reasoning that keeps us stuck and settling for “less than” our hearts true desire in our lives.  Our minds will be convinced to keep doing what we’ve done, even if we don’t like the result-somehow it feels safer, and we convince ourselves to buy into another version of the exact same thing.  Think about it. How many diets have you tried that are the same principles, just with a different title?
