You may think of a binge and think, “That’s not me, I don’t eat an entire box of candy bars in one sitting”. But binge-eating can show up in a variety of ways, keeping the weight on you and making you feel stuck.

Have you ever eaten way past full?

The actual definition of binge is:

Binge-eating is characterized by uncontrollable, excessive eating, followed by feelings of shame and guilt.

I’ve been there.

We eat too much cake, chips, or ice cream, overindulging and eating past full, then wishing we would have stopped about 10 bites ago. Often times people experience feelings of shame and guilt follow by beating themselves up – this was my pattern!

These are the signs to look for:

  • Eating in isolation
  • Saving a day in your week for binging (generally a cheat day taken to an all-day frenzy)
  • Hiding the wrappers or empty boxes in your trash so others won’t see
  • Find yourself consumed by the thought of food
  • Experiencing heavy feeling of shame and guilt

If you relate to ANY of the above, then you should definitely join us for the next MK show!

See you soon!
