You know’s there’s no time like the present, right?

I’m going to tell you exactly what I had to do to get my body back in gear and feel that surge of motivation that kind of went MIA for a bit.

I remember a time when I simply used to declare that I was going to do something, and I did it.

I decided to do a fitness competition, found a trainer, committed and 5 months later stood on stage with a trophy.

I would say I wanted to lose 10 pounds and I did it.

My commitment to my body has shifted because my life has shifted. I have changed. My responsibilities, desires, passions and goals are different now compared to when I was in my 20’s and early 30’s. My overall intention is different.

I didn’t give up what I needed. I didn’t become a slacker. I need to do two powerful things, “Recommit” and reclaim my “WHY”.

See, I packed my bags back in April. I should have told you this in more detail, but I’m currently vagabonding (a term I made up;)) around California, working, living and loving it up.

What’s not loving it? My body!

I’ve been gone less than 3 months without settling in to a home of my own. I am usually great on the go. I travel with a full arsenal of oils, supplements, and workout gear. I find a health food store the minute I arrive and seek out gyms and classes.

It had nothing to do with my resources or lack of knowledge (we all know what we need to do, the question is always “why the hell aren’t we doing it?”). It had to do with my will, my commitment, and I’ll be honest, it wasn’t there.

I was saying one thing and doing another.

I wanted to really kick up my workouts but I wasn’t. I can tell you all of my perfectly good reasons “why I missed my workouts and let go of my healthy habits”: lack of sleep, eating later, eating out more, not being in one place, out of my routine, not feeling as grounded…blah, blah, blah. You know how I feel about excuses;)

You know what I’m going to say, “The only excuses that exist are the ones we create”.

I knew exactly what I needed to do. I called on my coach. I needed a good kick in the butt and most of all to recommit and have the support and accountability.

I also needed to reconfirm my “Why” which I’ve talked about with you a ton.

We all need support. We are not meant to go at life alone. Why do you think people are always searching for love and relationships?
With the right support, we get love, a plan, accountability and someone to hear us, hold the space and help us to see what we ourselves are blocking or blocked from seeing.

If you need support in getting recommitted, please email me at Support@MelissaKathryn.com and we’ll set up a time to talk, or click here to schedule a call right away.

If you are struggling with motivation, lost your drive or keep sabotaging yourself then take time to do the RADIANCE CHALLENGE! Tell me how you do in the comments below.

  1. Recommit: Today, right now, draw a line in the sand. Don’t give yourself the option of an excuse.  Write down what your goal is.  Then post it in the comments below in the blog. In doing this you are setting your intention and making it know to the universe that you are serious.
  2. Hire a coach or trainer to get the right support for your goals
