“The Path to Feeling Good, NEVER Feels Bad”
Then why do we make things FEEL so hard?
Why do we choose to continue following a path, even when we know it’s making us miserable?
Really think about that statement, “The Path To Feeling Good Never Feels Bad”.
How often in life have you pushed through experiences to obtain a goal, when the journey to get there didn’t feel good or enjoyable?
Or maybe an experience, relationship, job did feel good at one time, just not anymore, but instead of taking control of the situation, making that change and taking action, you continue to push, hoping things will be different.
I see this all the time with weight loss and I used to do it as well. Pushing through workouts I hated, eating or NOT eating foods solely to hit a number on the scale.
What area(s) of your life are you “talking yourself Into”, as opposed to making a change you’re feel pulled towards inside?
What’s getting in your way? For me it was fear…
If you follow me on social media (I sure hope you do, because I give a lot of good tips;) You’d see that I left NYC and moved to California last week…eeek!!!
I lived in New York for 14 years. That’s a long time…
Honestly, the past 5 years I have been talking about moving. 5 YEARS! I’ve rented apartments and worked in California for months but never committed to moving.
Don’t get me wrong, I love NYC! It was one of the best times of my life. I have incredible friends, community, you name it, but it stopped feeling good. Living there started to feel hard and draining.
I felt it in my body that it was time to go but I ignored that feeling and kept pushing. I “talked myself into” staying for years. I redid my apartment, mixed up my routine, traveled more, you name it, I tried it.
When I heard “The Path To Feeling Good Never Feels Bad” it hit me like a ton of bricks. What was I doing or “NOT” doing to change this?
It was time. Time to let go and carve a new path even though it scares me and I don’t have a clear picture of what it looks like, which is tough for a “planner”.I’ve had to ALLOW and be open to receive what’s to come.
When we stop pushing and allow, we can truly “FEEL” into the right path for us. Tell your mind to take a back seat. I did and it feels amazing to say YES to myself and follow what I’ve been feeling but ignoring for years.
There is something to be said for timing but there is also something to be said for trusting yourself and saying YES to that.
Today, on this beautiful Thursday, I dare you to say YES to you and follow what feels right.
Let me know where it leads you tell me in a comment below or email me from right here on my contact form (I read everyone’s messages!)
