Stop talking about wanting to lose weight and start doing something about it. I know it may sound harsh, but it’s the truth.

If you want change, you need to change what you’re doing.

If you want to see changes in your body, they CAN and WILL happen, but you have to take action.

Are you committed?

Are you showing up each day for you and your workouts, or are you talking about them and spending your energy researching workouts, beating yourself up or making excuses?

It’s time to get real. If you want to lose weight, it is not hard, but you have to commit and stay consistent.

It’s in the honesty, in the real conversations with ourselves, that we can free ourselves of the constant “should, need to, must, have to” energy that can easily kill our commitment.

Now that you’ve gotten real, we can start with a clean slate. In order to see your fat loss, it’s not fitness alone, it’s 85% your diet – what you choose to eat. I believe in making this super simple.

Top 3 Tips for Getting Fit and Losing Fat:

  1. LOVE your workouts – if you don’t love what you do, you will not want to continue and you will always find an excuse. Make fitness your haven, your time, your gift to you and focus on finding movement you love, NOT fitness for fat loss. The difference – one is focused on calorie burn and the other is for joy. When we do it for joy, we do it for life and it feeds our soul!
  2. Eat clean – so simple, so impactful. Eating clean is eating unprocessed foods, closer to their natural state. Think “farm to table” fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, lean protein, healthy fats, oils. It’s eating fresh foods, not from bags and boxes. They are brightly colored and feel good to your body. When you eat this way, you are naturally eating a calorie deficit and helping your body detox on it’s own.
  3. Feel hungry and go to bed hungry. Yes, allow your body to feel hungry. You are not going to starve, I promise. It’s a good thing to allow your body to feel hungry and ask it what it needs. Connect to your body and listen, it will lead you to your ideal weight.

We are animals by nature. You can change your eating times, habits, sleep patterns and more to work with your desired lifestyle, health and weight loss goals.

If you find you eat “just because” or it’s your late night buddy, you’re eating to fill a void. Sit with the void, allow the moment to pass, ask yourself what you need.

90% of the time, I’ve found in working with thousands around the world, it was never food they needed. They needed love, to live life more and to feel fully heard.

Is this you? Allow the hunger, feel it and ask what you need.

This simple exercise combined with my top 3 tips will make a HUGE difference in your weight loss, fitness level and most of all your happiness!
